Diabetes Care

Ongoing diabetes management — blood sugar control, medication review, diet planning and screening for the complications that matter.

Diabetes is not managed in a single visit. It is managed in the pattern of visits over years — which is why the follow-up matters more than the first prescription.

Beyond the sugar reading

A fasting sugar number on its own is a narrow view. Good diabetes care also tracks HbA1c, blood pressure, cholesterol, kidney function, weight and what is actually happening in your daily routine — because these are the things that determine whether complications develop.

Complication screening

Most of the serious harm from diabetes comes from complications that build silently. Screening for them on a schedule is the single most useful thing a diabetes clinic does.

  • Eye examination for diabetic retinopathy
  • Kidney function and urine protein testing
  • Foot examination for nerve damage and circulation
  • Cardiovascular risk assessment

Diet advice that fits your kitchen

Dietary advice only works if it survives contact with your actual household. Counselling here starts from what you normally eat and adjusts it, rather than handing over a generic chart that gets abandoned in a fortnight. See our nutrition and lifestyle counselling.

If you were recently diagnosed

A new diagnosis is the point at which the trajectory is most changeable. Bring your reports and any medication you have been started on, and we will build a plan from there.
